Courses

I deliver courses to suit all levels and abilities and can work with an individual or groups of up to six people at a time depending on the aims of the group. Each course listed below has a specific aim in mind and is open to all but can also be used as a guide to what you might want to get out of your climbing experience.   • Private Guiding; for those on a schedule or where circumstances dictate you can just hire a me, as a guide for the day. You can stipulate what you want to do and where you want to go or alternatively you can just let the guide give you their idea of a brilliant day out. There is no specific course information for this. Just get in touch and have a chat. See booking form for rates.
  • Introduction to outdoor climbing – 2 days; if you have only climbed inside and want to know more about what climbing offers, this course covers all aspects and in as many interesting places as possible.
  • Introduction to sport climbing – 1 day; if you have climbed with a rope indoors and want to venture outdoors safely then this is the course for you.
  • Introduction to trad climbing – 2 days; you want to become independent and safe in all climbing environments. This course includes placing protection, setting up belays, safe descending and basic rescuing.
  • Trad lead climbing – 1 day; this is more of a refresher. You can lead and have led but need some guidance to boost your confidence.
  • Self rescue – 1 day; how to avoid trouble and how to get out of trouble.
  • Multi-pitch climbing – 1 day; a big step to a big crag. How to adapt what you do to the big walls.
