I don’t make any secret about how little I do – I do enough. We all do enough. Those who don’t do enough tend to be judging themselves.
The Association of Mountaineering Instructors does see fit to ensure that we all do enough to stay competent and it was my pleasure to spend some time in the mountains this week climbing, chatting, observing, testing. And it seems I was ok – I enjoyed the days and the chats in equal measure and reignited the spark that is necessary, sometimes to get back into the hills.
Two excellent days re-aquainting myself with Milestone Buttress and Idwal – I hope to return soon.
